Class of 2018
Interested in fostering youths’ participation in community development, civic leadership and entrepreneurship, I struggle to empower young (African) people’s abilities to improve their situation by addressing unemployment, and irregular migration. At one hand, my goal is advocating for investment in education, professional training and provide technical and financial support for youths’ initiatives. On the other hand, encourage African youths to set up businesses, startups, networks with youths worldwide and create jobs.
This goal can be achieved if we increase alumni and students’ participation in higher educational institutions, improve the relevance of learning programmes for enhanced employability, and stimulate the innovative capacities of African higher education systems.
As African youths are tomorrow’s leaders, we should be of peace building, change makers and at last but not the least make freedom of movement for Africans in Africa a reality not just in speeches or on papers, as a step towards a real and practical “African Union” integration as it is called.
